Fact Sheets The Birth Defect Research for Children (BDRC) fact sheets offer reliable information written in language that parents can understand. Each fact sheet covers the main symptoms of the birth defect or developmental disability; other birth defects that may occur with the condition; the number of children that are affected; known or suspected causes; treatment and what may be in the future for a child with this condition. To receive up to three free fact sheets, please fill out and submit our information request form. Your fact sheet(s) will be sent by e-mail. The information in your request form is for tracking purposes required by our funding agencies. Your name and address will not be shared with anyone else. Please help us gather information for studies on the causes of birth defects by participating in the National Birth Defect Registry. Registry participants can also join our parent matching project. You can request a list of matching families who have children with up to three of your child’s conditions. If you experience any problems with the site, please contact us at staff@birthdefects.org. |
