Since 1982, Birth Defect Research for Children has been helping families with free birth defect information, parent matching that links families of children with similar birth defects and research through the National Birth Defect Registry to discover the causes of birth defects.

The need for our services is greater today than ever before. According to the National Research Council, nearly half of all pregnancies end in the loss of the baby or a child born with a birth defect or chronic health problem. Your donation will let us continue to be there for all the families who need our services while we continue the research that may someday prevent these problems.

Please note: We use a nonprofit service to process our credit card transactions. GIVEDIRECT is the name that will appear on your credit card statement. Using a 3rd party helps us keep our costs low and allows us to spend more time and money on our programs!

Combined Federal Campaign/United Way

If you are a federal employee, you can support Birth Defect Research for Children during the Combined Federal Campaign. You can also support BDRC in United Way Campaigns that allow write-in pledges. You will find Birth Defect Research for Children listed under Children's Medical Charities of America in your campaign book.

Workplace Campaigns/Matching Gifts

Many employers have a matching gifts program. This means that your employer matches any donation you make to Birth Defect Research for Children so your donation is actually doubled. Estate Planning

There are many estate-planning options that offer incentives to donors who would like to support Birth Defect Research for Children, Inc.
